GeneralWhat are the differences between free registered accounts and paid accounts?Free accounts have lower limit of disk quota and with some of the features disabled.
When I tried to view a photo/album, Photocan asked me to enter a password. What is the password? The owner had set the photo/album to be private and so visitors need to enter a correct password before view it. You need to contact the photo/album owner directly for that password. Can I trust Photocan to keep the only copy of my photos? No. At Photocan, we do our best to keep the photos safe. We use redundant disk array and have regular backup to both on-site and off-site servers. But still, we do not recommend users to use Photocan for storage purpose. Instead, use Photocan for photo sharing only. Users are advised always to keep their own copy of photos. AccountHow long will my free registered account last?Your free registered account will be valid permanently. What will happen to my photos and albums after my paid account expired? When your paid membership expires, you will lost your extra storage quota. If your number of photo/album or storage space is over the quota of the free registered account, you will need to delete some items before uploading new photos. Album EditingCan I move photos and sub-albums between different albums?Yes. Under "Edit Album", first select the photos and albums you want to move. Then in the section "Move Selected Photos & Albums To Another Album", select which album you want to move the photos/albums to. How can I arrange the order of sub-albums and photos inside an album? Under "Edit Album", select the photos and sub-albums that you want to re-arrange the order. Then click on one of the "Move Here" signs to move the items to that location. Can I let other web sites to embed my photos on their sites? To let other web sites to refer your album photos, first enable the "Allow external refer" option in "Edit Album". This will allow other websites to use URL to link to photos in that album. Note that for free accounts, only thumbnail images are allowed for external refer. How to let visitors to leave comments about my albums? In the "Edit Album" page, enable the "Visitors can leave comment" option. Can I delete visitor's comments? You cannot actually delete the comments, but you can choose not to display them to visitors. In the "Edit Album" page, select "Edit comment". Select those comments that you don't want to be displayed. Can I upload bigger photos? For paid accounts, you can enable the "Keep original photos" option before you start uploading photos. Visitors will then be able to choose to view the bigger photos you uploaded. Note that this will use up more of your disk quota. I am running out of disk quota. What should I do? First, you can delete those photos that no longer need to be kept for online sharing. Also, if you have enabled the "Keep original photos" option for any album before, you may be using some disk quota to store the original photos for visitors to view. If you no longer want to keep those original photos online, you can go to the section "Delete Original Photos in This Album" under the "Edit Album" page and follow the instructions to delete those original photos. How can I limit the access to some of my albums? Enable the "Private album" option in the "Edit Album" page. Enter a password to protect the album and only share that password with those who you wanted them to view that album. Note that once an album is marked as private, all the sub-albums will also be protected with the same password. To use a different password for a sub-album, enable the "Private album" option of that sub-album and choose a different password.
